The QSC Inc attended the CAMS Motorsport Expo on Sunday at the Norwell Performance Driving Centre. The QSC Inc were kept busy with plenty of people stopping by admiring the superkarts on show. We had plenty of interest from current KA racers as well as families looking to get their teenagers into motorsport. The #89 Weier Family Racing kart was popular with kids young and old with quite a few sampling what it feels like to sit in a superkart. In 3 short weeks the club heads to Morgan Park for the first round of the 2018 season come down and check us out!! #QSC2018
The QSC Inc has introduced some changes to the NGB classes for 2018. Opening it up to all TAG engines used in KA. As well as separating them into aero and non-aero groups. Ask us how to get involved and be part of the action. Don't forget to like and share our posts to make sure they appear in your news feed.
After trialling at a test day with juniors in 2017, the QSC Inc has held early discussions with Qld Raceways and now with Racers Insurance, the underwriters for QR. All stake holders agree that large format motorsport needs a junior support group with pathways to open competition. All stakeholders agree that the QSC Inc Inc is best placed to offer this pathway through Formula JSK. There is still some way to go and there are still many hurdles to mitigate but we all feel confident that this can be accomplished by structuring a strategic plan for the QSC Inc.
The Queensland Superkart Club Inc would like to welcome you to 2018. A fantastic racing season is planned as per the banner attached. Looks like the 85cc Gearbox class is going to increase this year and with preparations on the way for a junior 85cc Gearbox class on the way for 2019. Some new young competitor are getting ready for it this year. Technical Specifications are simple. Basically it will be a Stock Honda with an 85cc Gearbox engine on it. Keep a look out for the announcement in the near future. We look forward to seeing you trackside in 2018.
With the close of the 2017 Queensland Superkart Season coming to a close, the Gala Awards Night was the place to be. Was great to see some new faces in the podium positions. But experience was the key to 2017 with Peter Nuske taking home the coveted 2017 Club Champion Award. Consistency and great preparation was the secret. Even a change of chassis mid year didn't slow him down. Results are as follows. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tIQvqmpeboGczE2IGyqFPCLzxq3tHdV2/view
