Joe Tyrrell and Doug Amiss Take the Honours at CAMS State Championships

The first round of the 2013 CAMS state championships took place at Morgan Park Raceway over the MG Car Club's June 23/24 weekend with visiting European based driver Doug Amiss returned to Queensland and used the trip to his advantage, dusting off the Bluff Racing Stockman MR2 to win the 125 cc class and take the QSC club championship points lead at the end of round one. Joe Tyrrell was equally if not more impressive in his 250 National class Anderson Maverick, taking two race victories to lead the CAMS Queensland championship.

Stewart Bell Wins Round 4; Joe Sciacca and John Caruana Tie For Rotax Honours

The resurgence in 85 cc Superkarts in 2013 reached a new peak with four Gladiators lining up on the grid for Round 4 of the Exclusive Auto Centre Superkart Challenge Series. An outstanding performance from the Linra Properties Gladiator of Stewart Bell gave the 85 cc division outright victory for the first time in five years at a Queensland Superkart Club event.

Meanwhile in the Exclusive Auto Centre Rotax Max Superkart Cup Joe Sciacca in his Arrow X2 and John Caruana in his Top Kart tied for victory as the pair exchanged first and second places across the two days as the Queensland Superkart Club raced on a QRDC meeting for the first time in 2013 at the picturesque Lakeside Park facility.

With only the baffles and straight exhaust pipes.. the neighbors got a real treat listing to this engine ring out at just under 19 thousand RPM....

R2 2013 Qld State Championship Morgan Pk Entry Form

Attached is the entry form for Round 2 of the 2013 CAMS State Championship to be held at Morgan Pk June 22 - 23. It will be held on the 3.0km long track. Entries will open on publication of these Supplementary Regulations and close on Friday 14th June 2013 (10pm). Entry fee will be $290.00. This includes GST and four pit passes. Take your winter attire as it will be very cold.
